1.
Silence the soul, the time it will pass. In love in pain, memories last. And it's eyes to the skies, looking for something, it's not there. Real like a dream, but cold to the touch. And the dead end job, promises much. And money is the game, everyone's sold on, but not me. Oh desperate night, deaf to the light. There's a perfect tone, to give us our sight. And I am alive, well that's what I tell myself, is it true? And we're always alone. And we're never alone. And the sound of the living, is the same as the one's who are gone. There's a voice in the dark, it's after my heart. But I'm stronger than most, I don't give up the ghost.
2.
Morning rise, it's spring once more. Take me back to the days before. The summer came and dreams were lost, we loved each other just enough. And the moon goes round, so put your pain into the ground. And the sun comes up, so lets make the best of what we've got. Which is you and me, me and you, you and me. Autumn comes, with shadows long, and hearts hold on to what went wrong. And dreams look old in the winters light, but we still got time to make things right. And the moon goes round, so put your pain into the ground. And the sun comes up, so lets make the best of what we've got. Which is you and me, me and you, you and me.

Lord speak the truth that rise in me. Rise like a mountain, rise from the sea. And a thousand times and a hundred more. I asked you the question and the silence it roared. And the love was gone and my heart grew cold. And the wind feels nothing, cos the story is old. And the storm moves on and it will not stop. Cos the wind is forever, and the wind is forever, and the wind is forever. But your thoughts they are not. World speak the truth that fails in me. It falls like heaven falls to the sea. And I spoke no more and the world replied. The answer was living and the question it died. And the love returned and my heart grew strong. And the wind feels nothing, cos the story is long. And the storm moves on and it will not stop. Cos the wind is forever, and the wind is forever, and the wind is forever. But your pain it is not.

Who amongst us needs nothing, needs no one. Isolation can be peaceful, but when it comes you should love while you can. There's a moment, then its gone, but what matters carries on. I was broken, I was stubborn, I was insecure. I'd see people, people everywhere, in my sadness people would not see me. But the feelings we hide are a consequence of being alive, and the love we have deep in side will live forever through time. So love your sister, love your brother, see the best in each other. Cos it's better, it's better together. It's better, it's better together.

There's a sea, there's a shore, there's a cabin, there's a door. There's a doormat, there's a floor. Then there's me. I was drunk, I won't lie, no one left me, no one died, I was lonely, I was tired. Tired of me. Welcome to my old friend whiskey and water. Time ago she was the only one. I suppose I ought to find another, but this old friend she never let me down. There's a door, there's a light, there's a feeling, I can't fight. There's a mountain, there's a sky. Then there's me. Now I'm drunk, I won't lie, sitting with me, Oscar Wilde. Still a gutter and we're still looking at the stars. Welcome to my old friend whiskey and water. Time ago she was the only one. I suppose I ought to find another, but this old friend she never let me down.

There was a girl, fifteen years old, a curious age, she'd never been told. If you enjoy the sin there's no one to blame but yourself, she's the one who put the family to shame. A contract was signed, the family was poor, but the love it was strong and the baby was born. Now the mother and child in the bedroom alone, there's a knock at the door, the time it has come. Out from the cradle into the car, through the old town and past the church yard and go down to the water and onto the boat, selling life in the name of the Lord to the smugglers of sorrow. There was a woman fifty years old, who looked every day for the child that was sold. But the name it has gone, cut with the chord and the pain is her penance cos she let down the lord. But the Lord isn't kind, the Lord isn't good and the church isn't holy if it punishes love. And the sisters they lie and the sisters don't grieve, they put the whole world to shame by stealing like thieves. They went, out from the cradle into the car, through the old town and past the church yard and go down to the water and onto the boat, selling life in the name of the Lord to the smugglers of sorrow.

Forever changing surface. Eternal forms remain, the waters flow. Oh human shore, let the river go. Oh human shore, let the river go. It's calling, the tide is coming. Our weathered souls they drift upon that sea. But the dead are living as whispers in the breeze. But the dead are living as whispers in the breeze.

I woke up in the darkness, something trying to speak with me. A secret world had disturbed my sleep, the world of truth. And so I looked around me, an emptiness filled the room, the objects I had accumulated, rebuked my heart, they mocked my soul and in the magnified silence were the ghosts of hopes. The morning came, and in the light I saw the desert of my life. I suppress my grief, but in the shadows lurk the memories of last night. It's off to the job again where the rooms are filled with things I haven't done. On the faces I see the things I never wanted to become. I worked for the money, but I'd stopped asking why it was, the beauty in the simple things had gone. And so the world keeps turning and still it stays the same, but in our sleepless moments lies a chance to change. So don't let a false world define you, don't let it steal your heart, and don't let it buy the silence of your soul and the things it wants, and the way it feels, because the longer it festers, the less it heals. There's no time to waste, just do what you want to do, and don't care for the company, because the company doesn't care for you. And be there for the ones you love and spend time with your dreams, and in the light of a darkened hour, you will see. The world it waits for you.
